A Balanced Diet is the key to a healthy Food Plan

Variety gives you the nutrients you need to stay healthy. These nutrients are:

Carbohydrates-
These produce most of your blood sugar. Starches, fruits and milk products are high in carbohydrates. Vegetables contain some carbohydrates, but less than these other groups.

Fats-
These provide reserve energy for your body.

Protein-
This helps the body build and repair tissue. Meat and meat substitutes are high in protein.
